So I am off to Eastern Europe tomorrow! Well, I thought Prague, Krakow and Budapest were considered Eastern Europe, but I was informed that they are part of Central Europe and Eastern Europe is really Romania, Bulgaria, etc. I will fly into Frankfurt then to Vienna and afterwards to "Eastern Europe."

I have wanted to visit Eastern Europe for several years now, so I am looking forward to it overall! My thoughts about "Eastern Europe" are influenced by Milan Kundera's novels and stories I have heard about from people who have traveled or lived there.

From what I heard on BBC News it has been raining very hard in Europe! I saw images of flooding everywhere. I am a bit concerned about what awaits me. On top of that there is the Northwest Airlines strike, but let's see what happens. Hmm...I am also a bit concerned about the racism there and finding vegetarian food, but I shall soon find out.

I am attaching two images I took earlier this morning. What great beauty exists in the little creations of Mother Nature! Here it's been quite beautiful as we begin to enter Fall--cool and sunny. Let's see how things are in Europe!
